CEREAL KILLER CAFE

This is my main website I'm using for inspiration for my very own website I will be creating.
This is one of the websites I enjoy visually as theres quite a lot going on but not too much that it makes your brain want to explode.
This particular element of the website is one that I will take an incorporate into mine. I feel as if its a good way of being able to navigate your way around said website. Having different options and guidance helps people rather than an A-Z style search engine. However I will have a little search engine too just incase people can't find what they are looking for in the drop downs.
I clicked on the menu button on the drop downs

Ans this came up. I like the fact that the theme is kept throughout the website and not just on the front page. The dark background in contrast with the bright neon colours is also very eye catching - another thing I'll incorporate in my own.

Once I clicked on the 'Brick Lane Menu' 2
ROUGH TRADE

This is a section of rough trade I really like and again will hope to take inspiration from and add to my website. Obviously it helps that this website is solely a record website which is very relevant to what my subject is - a record store. This website is very neat, tidy and well laid out. Its not too crowded and its easy to surf without being confused.
The music side of me really appreciated that they have this section on the website as its a great way to discover new music but also find things you may not be able to in more mainstream record shops. The fact that they show the title of the album/single, the artist and the cover of it is also nice on the eyes - the pictures make it less boring and also drags people in due to the art. I may alter it slightly, possibly 'albums of the week' or 'top picks of 2018' however the overall layout will be very similar.
How to change the background of a photo
In these steps you can see how I made another layer from the original and mangled to change the background colour of it successfully in photoshop.

How to make a gradient banner
In these step by step pictures it shows how I managed to create my own banner in photoshop. This is perfect knowledge for when making a website as many have their own banners.

You have analysed some websites defining the requirements of this medium. You have not yet investigated the client's requirements in detail. Do this by Friday 22nd Feb. You have recently created flow and plans for each page of your site... show these on your blog please. You are now applying and showing competency in skills and capturing this in screenshots in Ps but not yet in Muse. Molly... simply... work on this project at home and come to sessions with questions for guidance. Upload all of your planning drawings for every page by fri 1st march.
